Recruit and Retain a diverse field of qualified officers
As sheriff, I will commit to building and leading an office that reflects the community it serves. We will recruit deputies from within Cobb neighborhoods and from Cobb institutions of higher learning.
It’s not just about the number of deputies on staff. We must also make sure our deputies are well trained, well paid, and have a clear career path within the sheriff’s office.
This means giving deputies the time to take additional training, providing incentives for attaining a college degree, and offering a competitive salary for those with previous experience or who speak other languages.
