Military History
Lead Division of 14,000 personnel (including civilians and military), on-site and remotely across 34 states, in support of National Security initiatives, strategies and logistical management. Increased operational readiness from 70% to nearly 90%. Developed and implemented a time-phased approach to transition logistical and sustainment functions; increasing overall readiness metrics by more than 8%. Managed budget of $51 Million.

Police Major, Precinct Commander Precinct 2
Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff. Oversees employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control. Provides guidance, counseling and handles disciplinary process. Directs performance appraisal process and liaises between management and employees.
· Oversight of and manages precinct activities relevant to investigations, patrol assignments, specialized units and divisions (Robbery, Homicide, Narcotics, Special Victims, K9, Homeland Security, Missing Persons, etc.).
· Acts in Command capacity during major incidents, emergencies and disasters, assesses and contains scene.
· Responsible for disseminating information and special instructions throughout department. Works closely with Police Chief providing detailed status updates on major cases, critical incidents and situations, providing information to news media and guiding officer media interviews.
· Collaborates in the development and administration of department annual budget. Monitors expenditures ensuring compliance with approved budget. Prepares bid requests, grant applications and other financial documentation.

Director/Captain Animal Control
As the Animal Control Director, responsible for the enforcement of the State of Georgia Laws and County Ordinances.
· Oversight and utilization of $3.2Mil Annual Budget. Lead team of more than 50 staff members, which included Department Investigators, Managers and Medical personnel.
· Conducted Flow/LEAN Process Improvement studies. Based on findings, implemented changes that resulted in a 20% waste reduction rate while increasing throughput by 30%.
· Conducted regional Officer’s Training sessions. Management of the Division’s provision of housing and care of homeless animals as well as the coordination of adoption and placement services.

Primarily responsible for the Criminal Investigations in the Cumberland Precinct area of Cobb County.
· Oversight of Detective-Sergeants and Detectives.
· Developed a specialized PENS (Police E-Mail Notification System) program for CIU 3 that focused on a large business community.
Initiated an aggressive approach to handling a rash of entering autos by implementing monthly stake-out details and installing surveillance cameras in higher crime areas. This tactical response lead to a reduced area crime rate, and to the apprehension of several suspects. This initiative also impacted a notable increase in the Unit’s productivity.
